“Sweetheart, wake up.” You hear the softest voice calling to you, pulling you out of your foggy state. You see the sun peering through the window by the bed. Fully opening your eyes, you turn to where the voice came from. Your sleepy eyes meet your boyfriend’s sweet ones. He held a plate of your favorite breakfast with a huge cup of coffee. You finally broke out of your sleep cycle and realized you were awake. You sat up and gave Spencer a quick peck on the lips and then took the cup of coffee in your hands. He smiled at you and brought your plate to the side table next to you. He kissed your forehead and walked out of the room. You ate your breakfast and once you finished, you brought your plate to the kitchen and sat down next to Spencer on his couch with your coffee. He was reading a book and you leaned your chin on his shoulder and looked at the tiny words on the pages. He was reading through the book at a lightning speed. You tried to read as fast as you could, but it just wasn’t possible to read like him.
“How do you do that?” You laugh and take another sip of coffee. Spencer stops reading and chuckles. “I just always have. It’s how I read.” You take another sip of coffee and look at your handsome boyfriend. You put your coffee down and grab a book thats stacked on his coffee table. You lay down in Spencer’s lap, laying over his book. He chuckles and you wiggle to get comfortable. He pulls the book out from under you and puts it in one hand and uses his other to play with your hair.
After laying there for about an hour, you’re now halfway through your book. You sit up and take a sip of your coffee, realizing it’s cold, you spit it back into the cup and Spencer laughs. You give him a playful look and he laughs even more.
“Did you finish your book? Oh- who am I kidding? Of course you did.” You laughed as you got up to dump your coffee into the sink. He stands and walks over to you, tossing his book on the couch.
“I finished it 45 minutes ago.” He laughed as he wrapped his arms around your waist while you stood at the sink.
“What? Why didn’t you say something?” You ask putting down the mug and spinning around in his arms, now with your hands placed on his shoulders.
“You looked so peaceful. I didn’t want to make you move.” He gave you a kiss on the cheek. You giggled and pulled him in for a kiss. It was a short and sweet kiss. You pull away looking into his beautiful eyes. You kiss him again and lightly tug at the roots of his hair and he moans.
“Oh you know I like that.” He says while still kissing you. He moves his hands to the backs of your thighs and pulls you up on the counter. You squeal a bit when he does that, which makes him chuckle. You guys keep kissing and as soon as the moment heats up, Spencer get’s a phone call. You sigh in annoyance and he pulls back, breathing heavily, and answers the call.
“Hello?… Yeah, okay. Yeah thanks, Garcia... Oh, I’m on a run… Yeah, I run… Yes I do!” He says giving you an awkward smile. You stifle your laugh in your hands as you watch him talk his way out of this. “Yeah, whatever. I-I’ll be there soon.” He hung up and you burst out laughing. He put his phone back in his pocket and wiped his face with his hand, now blushing like crazy.
“You are in for a rude awakening when you get there. You know Penelope won’t let that go.” You laugh and pull Spencer back in by the collar of his shirt. You kiss for another minute and he pulls back. “I gotta go.” He says giving you another peck before running into his bedroom. You laugh and hop off the counter, walking back to the couch and picking up the book Spencer was reading. You watch him jog back out of the room and toward you. He leans down, over the back of the couch and gives you a kiss goodbye.
“Love you, I’ll call you when we land in… well, wherever we’re going.” Spencer says hoisting his go bag over his shoulder.
“Yes please do. Love you.” You say as Spencer jogs to the front door. “See you do run.” He laughs at your remark and throws a kiss to you as he runs out the door. You laugh to yourself and go back to your book, appreciating the time you did have with Spencer today, even though it got cut short.
