note: so this is my very first imagine. I kind of always wanted to write imagines or post stuff on tumblr because I have a lot of feelings for all my beloveds lol but i’ve always been shy and nervous about it. But since I told myself I was going to try to be more open about myself and stop being afraid of doing things I want to (posting imagines and my writings on tumblr, traveling, etc) I thought this might be a good place to start. So sorry in advance if this sucks I promise I’ll get better. Also this is loosely based off of Taylor Swift’s song Sweeter Than Fiction (one of my favorite songs by her lol

You know, there’s something amazing about the feeling you get when you watch someone you love and care about deeply accomplish their goals. It may be narcissistic to think but it’s an even more amazing feeling when they accomplish their goal and you’ve been supporting them the entire time.

“I’m so proud of you, Tom.” I smiled sweetly up at Tom as he told me that he had been nominated for an award for his portrayal in the upcoming Captain America movie.

It’s been Tom’s dream to be an actor for so long, he’s been dreaming of playing spider-man even longer.

“Thank you, love. I’ve just--I can’t believe it’s actually happening.” Tom sighed, taking a seat on the couch next to me.

I looked at him with a questionable look, seeing the look on his face that he always had when he was questioning himself.

“What’s wrong? You’ve got your questioning face on. You know, the one. The look you wear when you are doubting yourself.” I said, turning my body and attention towards Tom.

I waited for Tom to answer me, knowing him too well to know that he had the annoying habit to question himself. To doubt himself. I love this man more than anything but it’s annoying how he doubts himself and his talents. I always tell him he’s destined for the big screens, that he’s meant for so much more in his life.

Though, he constantly pokes fun in my constant and undeniable support and belief in him.

“It’s nothin’, love.” Tom tried changing the subject but I just rolled my eyes, putting a finger under his chin so he could look at me.

I stared into his beautiful eyes, feeling a flutter in my chest while smiling at him sweetly. “I know you better than that, Tom. You know I’m not going to drop it until you tell me. All though, I know what you’re thinking already.” I smirked in slight arrogance as Tom questioned what I thought he was thinking.

“Well...” I smirked, scooting closer to him on the couch, grabbing his hands in mine. “You’re probably consumed in the thoughts and adrenaline of being cast, becoming spider-man and accomplishing one of your life time goals. You’re also questioning yourself, wondering if they made a mistake or wondering if you’ll fail. You’re worried you’re gonna let everyone down, which, no offense, my love, is ridiculous. You’re so talented, Tom. You’re going to be amazing and everyone will finally see how talented you are. You’re going to be amazing, I know it.”

“How do you know I won’t fail? That they didn’t make a mistake picking me? I-I just can’t stop thinking about what would happen if I...if I let everyone down. If I let you down...What if I just prove everyone who’s told me I’m not good enough and acting isn’t a stable career choice to pursue right?” Tom admitted, looking down at our hands intertwined on his lap.

I shook my head, putting my finger under his chin again so he could look into my eyes as I told him the same thing I tell him every time he doubts himself. “I know it’s ridiculous to ask because you’re currently doubting yourself but..please, don’t think about your doubts. Instead, focusing on proving me right and proving everyone else wrong.” I smiled, stroking his cheek as he leaned into my touch.

Tom smiled at me, grabbing my hand and pressing a kiss to it. “I love you, you know that right?” Tom said, smiling at me.

“I do know that..All though, I could be...reminded.” I smirked, slowly leaning into Tom and pressing our lips together.

Tom smiled into the kiss, slowly pulling me into his lap. The kiss was sweet, slow and passionate. The kind of kisses for the movie screens. After what seemed like hours, we both pulled away for air, smiling at one another.

“Did I remind you?” Tom smirked as I bit my bottom lip.

“I think...I need more help remembering.” I smirked before Tom pulled me into another kiss.

“And the winner is...Tom Holland!”

I cheered so loud I thought my throat was getting torn apart by it, jumping out of my seat. Tom laughed besides me, standing up as I embraced him. I pulled him into a quick kiss, laughing and gleaming with joy as he pulled away and going to walk on stage to accept his award.

I felt so much joy and emotion in me that I thought I would explode from happiness as I watched Tom accept his award. I always knew, always believed, Tom was destined for great things and movie screens. I’m so proud of him. I always knew this day would come, even when Tom didn’t believe for himself.

“I never thought this day would come. I didn’t think...I didn’t think it was possible.” Tom said as we walked into our apartment after getting home from the award show and after party.

We collapsed on the couch, exhausted from the events. I turned to look at Tom, smiling up at him.

“I knew.” I said, pressing my lips to his for a brief second before pulling away to look up at him.

“It amazes me how you can have so much faith and belief in me. I don’t deserve you.” Tom said, pressing our lips together again.

“I believe in you, now and always. I just knew you were destined for the big screen.”

Tom and I just sat there, smiling at one another before spending the remainder of the night celebrating in our own style.

You know, I heard this saying once that life was sweeter than fiction. And sitting there on the couch, smiling and being in Tom’s embrace... I could guarantee that it was true. Because this life, a life with Tom, it’s way better than anything I’ve read in books and seen in movies.

author’s note: i’m so sorry this was bad and cringe worthy. I just really wanted to start posting stuff to tumblr. I promise I’ll get better in time lol. Anyways, if anyone has any suggestions or prompts I can write I’d be more than happy to lol I just really want to get back into writing and start posting stuff to tumblr. lol
