Every year I make mashed sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner. But I am bored!! with that so this year I decided to make a chunky version. I tinkered with this dish a few times, varying the seasoning. Sometimes I add fresh ginger, sometimes use raisins instead of cranberries. Once used pear instead of apple.
