f you know me then you know that my life long spirit guide, idol of originality, all time icon of super bada$$ness is & will always be the incomparable @drewbarrymore Yes every child loved ET but my true love & admiration for Drew started as a preteen. It actually started the minute i saw her jump on David Letterman’s desk. I loved her free spirit. It was familiar. It was like mine. Even my speech impediment was like hers. I discovered my own rebellion after watching Mad Love & Bad Girls. I got a Drew inspired tattoo at 16. Her Romantic Comedy phase fell right in line with with teen years. My favorite go to look will always be platinum blonde hair with flowers in it (daisies preferably). I even randomly ran into Ms Barrymore in the ladies room at The Falls in 2008. I blushed & couldn’t make words. I mean the woman can do anything! She makes wine! @barrymorewines Has her own makeup company! @flowerbeauty Her own clothing line @deardrew ❤️which I LOOOOOVE! Drew Barrymore has been with me & guided me for every chapter of my life. NOW! On Friday I decided to take a sunset stroll through the park. As I started listening to The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust, I felt the need to drop into @storiesbooksandcafe to escape the cold for a bit. For it is WHEN THE GRACES SPUN MY THREAD WITH SOMEONE NEW, SOMEONE WHO'S BOLD AND GENUINE ENOUGH TO MAKE ME FEEL THE LOVE HE HAS FOR ME. This maybe the last post for this tag, it may not be. Right now I don’t know. It seems like after all this time, all the patience and time and effort was thrown down the drain because of small things we can’t control.

It’s a terrible thing to think about honestly. One minute, we’re talking and laughing and enjoying what time we have, the next, it seems like it was all an act. It doesn’t seem fair, but life isn’t fair; no matter how much we want to prove it wrong.

I wonder what changed. I wonder what could have been done different. I wonder if it even mattered up until this point.

I wonder about a lot of things honestly. But I can’t... I can’t keep hoping when nothing is going to change. I can’t keep waiting if we can’t fix our own problems and keep running away from them.

I can’t.
