disrespectful is a stretch but you have to think about how your significant other may feel. once im in a relationship "babe" is for my s/o. i dunno how she would feel about it so id appreciate it not happening.
i feel the same way. it’s one of those little things that may seem insignificant but they’re still a sign of intimicay

Depends on the relationship. My friend calls me babe and I call him sweetie. My bf calls girls baby girl, love, and such. Long as they aren't our petnames for each other I don't have a problem. Haven't asked him though.
