This burger has the salty taste of a perfectly grilled hamburger patty along with the sweet and sour tastes of pineapple and caramelized onions. Makes your mouth water, and it will satisfy your burger cravings.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 1/2 cup pineapple slices. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Lettuce and tomato slices for garnish. Ketchup and mayonnaise for condiments.
Instructions: Warm up your grill or pan on the stove by setting it on medium-high heat. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and shape it into 4 patties. Put the patties on the grill or pan and cook for three to four minutes on each side for medium-rare. You can cook them longer if you want them more done. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and let it melt in the last minute of cooking. Bring olive oil to a low boil in a separate pan while the patties are cooking. After you add the sliced onions, cook slowly and stir them around every so often for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until they caramelize and turn golden brown. Add a little salt to taste. Add the pineapple slices to the same grill and cook them for about two minutes on each side, until they get grill marks and start to turn a little caramelized. On the grill, toast the buns for about one minute, until they get a little brown. Put a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, then a cooked patty with melted cheese, a spoonful of caramelized onions, a slice of grilled pineapple, and a slice of tomato. Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the top half of the buns, then put them on top of the burgers to finish them off. Enjoy your delicious hamburger with grilled pineapple and caramelized onions right away!
