Regina had cheated on Emma with Robin, and Emma caught them when she got back from the store. Emma was so heart broken she sought out the darkness, then became the new Dark One. Of course, Emma blamed Regina for it. But in her heart, she still loved Regina. And Regina wanted to talk it out with Emma one more time. She didn't want to lose her wife so easily.
