Old re-runs played quietly on the TV in the corner of her room, the faint voice of Ice-T solving specialty crimes droning on and on as Law and Order went on incessantly. Toni felt as though she could handle most things, but being stuck here in the hospital while knowing her Serpent’s were in trouble... that was another thing entirely. The need to step into action was strong, but suddenly, it was dimmed by a presence entering the small room. “Sweet Pea.” Her voice was warm as she immediately moved to sit up in the bed, only with some struggle. Her eyes drifted over him, immediately to see if he was okay. “—How are you doing?”

Toni set the takeout back down on the nearest available surface, opening the top to pull out a couple of wrapped sandwiches. She slid one over to Pea, nodding over at him. "Eat up, King Shit, we’ve got a day ahead of us.” She wasn’t about to do anything without some food first, though. Toni had woken up to nausea plaguing her whole being. Now that it finally passed, she was going to take her chances into this sub. Toni’s eyes drifted up to Pea’s as she retrieved the rest of the contents of the bag. “Where’s my boyfriend? I’ve got some extra meat in here with his name on it. So don’t get any ideas about it. He’s growing.”
