So when I arrived at the studio yesterday evening after being gone the entire day. I was happy to find that this guy right here @timothyheardmusic had gotten hours of vocal tuning done! He also managed to lay down a bunch of track enhancing trumpet parts to compliment the trombone parts from the previous day! Then we spent the evening stacking staccato parts on the chorus to finish it off! I must say.... when I found our 100 year old Baldwin upright grand piano at a really LOW price.... I thought it might be one of those “to good to be true” situations.... Even after renting a 26 foot box truck the following morning and moving it to the studio....I still had my doubts.... but I couldn’t have been more wrong! Taking a moment to write things down along the way can make for a much smoother session. In this picture I was keeping track of the signal flow as we were setting up to record drums. It ended up paying off when I needed to switch some things around and didn’t need to trace patch cables to figure out where things were plugged in. I just look at the sheet and move things around with confidence. With that being said last night we created the third Production from scratch this weekend.
