she’s sitting PATIENTLY for him to arrive, the absolute picture of grace as hands are folded in front of her and one lean leg is FOLDED over other. “good morning, warren.” a pause as she reaches to SIP her coffee, setting it down delicately a moment later. 

“i rather thought it a fine morning to have a CHAT. do sit.”

heh heh heh SO @swifterthandeath​ is what i would proudly and unapologetically call “a sheer gift”. admittedly i didn’t pay that much attention to/have that much interest in warren when i saw x-men:a but OOPS now warren is one of my absolute favorite characters and it all boils down to lil’s absolutely incredible portrayal. her warren is stunningly complex and has this fascinating bunch of traits that makes him like, protagonist and villain and anti-hero all once and it’s SUCH A SHEER JOY TO READ, much less interact with, because warren is purely unpredictable and struggling but also determined and kind and occasionally even gentle and AH this is the definition of what it means to take a character and not only rp them well, but rp them with such precision and growth you forget their writing is anything but canon.

@metallsinne is high key the reason ive been around this long and the reason i’ve grown so attached to my lil weirdo anja. ran’s been an absolutely critical, completely irreplaceable part of anja’s development to the point where i struggle to even imagine, much less write, how she’d be without ran’s erik. i’ll wax poetic for the rest of my life but her writing is like, just a genuine joy to read? just the actual words themselves are so precisely, brilliantly put together that it almost reads liike a form of poetry. that alongside her god damn magnificent characterization make for hands down, no questions about it the most incredible rper ive ever met on this.

the first wave of earth that comes just before a thunderstorm, burnt rubber long since streaked into pavement, beer that’s cheap but undeniably delicious,  faded cologne, that initial PANG of leather, campfire smoke & shampoo that’s been worked deep into curls

He’s only teasing, of course, as he always is. But the reaction still manages to fluster her, and it’s obvious, with the fiddling of her nightgown strap (darn thing always slips off her shoulder) and her skittish eyes.“Oye,” stern gaze is set, but seems out of place in gentle eyes. “I’m being serious.” It wasn’t unusual for one of them to go seek the other during unorthodox hours, but she sees the fatigue in his eyes, his posture. She’s aware of his fear—the confession still clear from her memory of a night much like this one—so she knows he’s not just here for a casual chat. He’s tired, and she only hopes to offer her company if that’s what he needs.

She rolls her eyes at his answer—it sounded so polite—but it’s done lightheartedly, followed by a reassuring smile. “Of course. I was the one who offered, after all.” She steps steps aside for him to enter, half her body hidden by the door. An amused hmm follows after he poses the question. “Well, I said you could sleep in my room, not on my bed, so I’m sure you can make that work somehow.”
