I want to know more about your 4

My Four is named Tater Tot! She/He! Thank you for leaving an ask showing interest, as I will now spout paragraphs at you!!!

She's a less-than-average student despite her dedication to academics, and isn't very good at socializing due to being "too loud" and "too annoying" for other inkfish to interact with her. Tater was also orphaned at a very young age, and has no idea who her parents are, but was raised alongside kids or adults who didn't like her presence for the above reasons. For all intensive purposes, she was a "problem child".

This eventually led to her suppressing herself, becoming quiet and still an average kid despite being so devoted to school. It was basically her life, and she wasn't even good at that.

When taken into the Squidbeak Splatoon by Marie, she'd heard all about Agent 3 from the Squid Sister and wished to be like them. Marie's praise was some of the first she's ever had that meant something to her, and it caused her to days a renewal in her passion. Even if she failed socially and academically, Tater was given a chance to do something good with her life by being an agent. And when the role of hero ended and Callie was saved? She received very little praise. No public recognition. So, she took the title of Hero and made that her entire personality. She'll be a hero to the people in one way or another!!

Tater, at one point or another, had a relationship with Junk, Agent 3. This lasted until after the events of Octo Expansion, where Junk had forgotten most things about their life- and thusly forgot about Tater. Agent 4 still tries to remind Agent 3 about their past together, and though Junk humors this sometimes, nothing good ever comes from it. Tater is heartbroken, but knows that a heroes must have happy endings. She's seen so in the books and shows she's indulged in!

She also has an unknowing rivalry with Agent 8, Guille. Guille dresses up as a mysterious, villainous figure named "Zoro" for reasons pertaining to their own story- but long story short, it's a "hero vs. villain rivalry" tale between the two that Tater made for her ego.

1 16 and 24 for that ask game !

1- The character everyone gets wrong.

Prince/Prinz. I've seen multiple people say this already, but I REALLY hate how people baby Prince and see him as this precious little """"uwu soft bean""" that can't defend himself.

YES he is Emperor's younger brother, YES he appears innocent and less experienced, but that does NOT make him a baby. I hate when characters with a positive attitude, innocence, or other "childish" what-have-yous are made out to be just little kids who need protected. Unless you're Emperor himself, treat this man with respect and stop infantilizing him. Characters can be immature or innocent while still being adults.

16- You can't understand why so many people like this thing.

Pearlina and Polycut. I've never seen any of these characters as wanting a relationship- aside from Marina, who I think would definitely want love and a partner- romantic or otherwise.

Also Pearl. I don't understand how people like her in general. She scares me. "Oouuhhh it's just her gremlin energy-" No, she could kill me. She WOULD kill me.

24- The topic that brings up the most rancid discourse.

Uhhhh... Splatfest. I don't need to explain it, I'm sure, but one thing I personally find as a gripe is that for practically every Splatfest, whoever wins halftime (with the exception of 2: Gear and Nessie iirc) wins the Splatfest.

I know just saying "Splatfest" is very vague and covers a lot of discourse topics, but that's the thing. There's so many bits surrounding this one topic that it's Bound to be rancid.

12- The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them.

As side character extroidanaire, I think more people should warm up to the side/filler teams. That being said, MARUSAN/CIRCLE SHADES. TEAM SRL COAT. THEY'RE LITERALLY A SQUAD OF RESEARCHERS AND BOTANISTS.

The fandom goes on about the messed up experiments that TarTar does and how cool the hypnoshades are but can we PLEASE talk about how that team could do so much havoc with those plants if they wanted to.

17- There should be more of this type of fic/art.

So hey. Grimdark. Characters being pushed to their absolute limits and being mentally and physically tortured until they break. Characters becoming shells from the horrors they've experienced.

I want stuff on the level of Tanoshii Samoshii (forgive me if I misspelled that). A depraved reality that's usually pushed behind the colorful exterior or just played for laughs.

23- Ship you've unwillingly come around to.

I once mentioned the ship as a joke but now it's been stuck in my brain. Army and Ocho. There isn't much behind this other than things that are majorly HC based but!!! I think they'd be neat together.
