@coachsandybatten and I were able to squeeze in one last, final kayak at Wolf Lake this morning before coming home. And what an eventful journey! Gorgeous cloudy skies broken up by blazing beams of sunshine were perfect 🥰 We started with a big Dock Spider 🕷 running from underneath one of our boats! Yes I jumped! It's almost a big as my hand! In a quiet bay, we found a Painted Turtle stunning itself on a stump but then the craziness began! We spotted something that I thought was a log at first .. then I noticed ears and right it was a dog. Either way, it was too far from shore! Sandy and I paddled over and discovered it was a Whitetail fawn, only a 3-4 months old at best. We shadowed it from a safe distance to make sure it didn't drown and guided it towards shore, where it popped out of the water, shook itself dry and then bounced up and away into the woods. When we turned around, a Common Loon was right there floating around. One last picture on the dock and then we were packing and loading. Check my story for how we really felt about leaving! #wildlifephotos #swimmingdeer #landscapephotography #landscapephotos #hdrphotography #wolflake #apsley #northkawartha #ontario #outdoors #perceptionkayak #onthewater #vacationlife #cottagelife #thisisthelife #idontwannagohome (at Wolf Lake, Kawarthas, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfunSfZJWG_/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
