Review: Temeraire
Temeraire by Naomi Novik My rating: 4 of 5 stars I'm relieved to say I loved this book. I needed something to get me out of a reading slump and I read the second half of this in a single sitting yesterday. I have some fundamental beliefs around England, the military and the death penalty that meant there were parts that bothered me a little, and I found the sexism and classism of the main character a little off-putting despite his character growth, but those are only minor complaints. The writing style was great and I enjoyed the plot. I have a desperate need for more stories about Harcourt and Roland and I'll definitely be reading the second book. View all my reviews
