A little drabble for @swordbende
Elsa laughed softly as Bao's enormous head nudged insistently against her shoulder, nearly upsetting the small basket balanced on her arm. Reaching into the basket, Elsa produced a peppermint and held it out on her palm. “One at a time,” she reminded gently as Bao accepted the treat with surprising gentleness for a creature of her size, lips brushing Elsa's gloved hand before the candy disappeared with a satisfied crunch.
“There...” Elsa smiled, retrieving another after a moment. “Good girls deserve rewards.”
Once Bao had happily worked through several peppermints, Elsa set the basket aside and gathered a section of the bison's thick, ivory-colored fur. Her fingers moved with practiced skill, separating and weaving the strands into neat braids. Tiny ribbons of pale blue silk appeared with a flick of her wrist, summoned from shimmering frost to tie off each finished braid.
“You have such beautiful fur,” she said, smoothing another section flat before beginning again. “It would be a shame not to show it off.”
Bao let out another contented grunt, eyelids drooping as Elsa continued to work. Every so often the great creature leaned her weight against the queen, forcing Elsa to brace herself with an amused chuckle. “My goodness,” she teased. “You’re determined to climb in my lap, aren't you?” The only response was another blissful rumble.
Elsa smiled to herself, absentmindedly stroking Bao's neck between braids. There was something wonderfully uncomplicated about animals. They cared little for titles or expectations. Kindness was returned with trust, affection with affection.
“Between you and me...” She leaned in conspiratorially, lowering her voice to a playful whisper. “...I can't entirely blame you for enjoying a little spa treatment.”
Bao huffed happily, nudging Elsa's shoulder once more before settling into the attention with complete contentment, while Elsa resumed her careful braiding, humming a quietly as the afternoon drifted peacefully onward.
@swordbende asked: 😏 // give my muse a hickey . //if that's okay 👀
“Sokka!” While he had been enjoying the act in the moment, seeing the hickey bruising on his skin on the side of his neck brought alarm to the young Fire Lord immediately. He slapped a hand there, wondering if there was something he could use to hide it while he had his meeting. “I have a meeting to attend to in a few hours, you know,” he grumbled at the Water Tribesman, though he wasn’t really upset with him. No one knew they were sneaking around, so no one had to know who the hickey was from. But still, it wasn’t seemly for a Fire Lord to be walking around looking like that. Maybe he had enough time to spare now to rid himself of the mark, but he was planning revenge in his head. Marching over to the other man, Zuko managed to grab Sokka by the arm before he could even try to escape. “No way, where do you think you’re going, Mister?” He wagged a finger at him saying, “It’s my turn to leave marks on you, come here.”
@swordbende sent: ❝ how does my sand castle look? ❞
summertime sentence starters ! / accepting.
katara hums her response, the sea still clinging to her as she steps back onto the pleasantly warm sand & wanders further from the receding waves. the sound is less of an actual grading of his sand castle & more an acknowledgement that once she'd wrung as much saltwater from her curls as she could, she'd entertain his question. priorities, sokka.
❝ it looks ... ❞ the waterbender's voice trails off as she tries to find an accurate comparison. it isn't poorly constructed by any means, considering the only tools at sokka's disposal are his own hands & whatever he stumbled across on the shoreline. but there is something achingly familiar in its structure.
❝ ... kinda like the first time you tried making a snow fort. ❞ the first time she remembers, at least. when she still stumbled through the snow & spent her time waddling around the village at sokka's heels. it was uneven & maybe too thick at its base, with a handful of spires at varying heights. certainly not unremarkable, but not what one may expect to find among the white sands. with a shrug, she adds, ❝ the moat's a nice touch. ❞
@swordbende: liked.
"Have you seen my hair pieces? I can't find them anywh —," Katara was cut off mid sentence when she saw mentioned hair piece in her brothers hands. An annoyed looked crossed the youngers face as she said, "You know those won't go into your hair, right? Did you lose yours again? Is that why you went after mine? Here, hand them over. I'm sure I've got extra of your hair doodles laying around somewhere from the last time I fixed up your hair."

Time was a curious, fickle thing in times of war. A single year seemed to stretch on and on. And yet, as the war drew to its end, the anticipation only continued to grow. The Northern Tribe had sent aid to their sister tribe in the South, and Master Pakku had journeyed into the world for love. Yue had wished for the same—to stand beside those who continued to risk their lives on the front lines. Despite her protests, the walls of the North remained closed...
And she remained within them.
ooc. at this point me , dotty and sage are a package.
