Whenever she feels the young man approach, nostalgia flashes into her old mind. Yes , he is far different from that person , but the confidence , the quips, the annoying / lame jokes , reminded her of her late friend && this particular day , he said something that made even the old , grumpy , toph beifong , cackle that only sokka could do. Making Toph's walls soften at the young earthbender a little bit . So without a warning , she gently wrapped a thin , aging arm into his side , giving him a squeeze that could be considered a hug from toph's standard . As she said a silent thank you for at least making her feel his with her again , even just a little fraction.

@formedfrommist sent : To those who were already familiar with Tagah, it was easy to tell when he being pacific and when he was thirsty for blood and now was one of those moments. Eyes narrowed, his usually smile was gone replaced by lips that were pressed together in a thin line as he made his way towards the earth bender. He didn't want things to have ended like this but they had left him no choice and now.... now there was only one left. He stared at Toph, moving his head as to snap his neck. He despised earth benders and now he could finally put that one down. He passed over the body one of the younger ones..... Sokka, maybe, and prepared to put the girl out of her misery as swiftly as he had done the rest of them.

Toph's senses was on an overdrive , her wounded && broken body screamed at her to give up && collapse. But Toph refused - she is stubborn && proud - for that , she couldn't let her friends fight alone. With a wet, bloodied cough , her trembling hand reached for a boulder to support herself as she stand. The second her skin made contact , a blinding wave of seismic sense rippled throught her mind , mapping out every horrific things that happened to her surroundings. Toph's body stiffened as her sightless , bloodshot eyes widened. The ringing on her ears become louder as the truth slammed into her core. She tried to focus on their body , hoping && praying that there's at least a gentle heartbeat to show that her friends. her family is still with her .

❝ No. ❞ She chocked out as she had found none. A sudden chill broke out to her skin, as she swung her head towards where her friends lay. No , Please . Directly beside her rested , the familiar form of a firebender. The fierce , crackling of his pulse , was gone . Zuko was dead. Not far from him another unmoving body rest . The shallow water beneath him had muffled her sense at first but as the airbender approached her , the shifting of the tide , caused for the warrior's body to brush against the earth. Unresponsive. Lifeless. Sokka too was gone. && Out of desperation, she turned to look for the one remaining body she hasn't found yet , praying to the gods that katara might have survived , but there's none . No signs of where she was. Only Emptiness.

The bedrock beneath her feet exploded. A Brutal storm of Sharpnels made of rocks flew towards the airbender as the earthbender was launched along with it , sending her battered body towards him like a cannon ball. The sheer force was enough for them to topple down. With toph on top of him , both of her hands immediately found it's way towards his neck. Gripping it with so much force , to prevent him from breathing. A loud gutteral growl ripped through her mouth, as agony && anger blinded her. Fingernails dug violently into his skin , drawing blood upon her actions. ❝ I'll NEVER FORGIVE YOU !! ❞ she screamed into his face , her voice cracking vionlently at the weight of her grief && wrath . Tears streamed down from her mud stained cheeks. In that moment the great && mighty Toph Beifong of Team avatar had vanished - replaced by a heartbroken girl choking the monster who had stolen her family, her world && her entire reason to live .

Zuko let out a snorted huff of amusement, shaking his head at the implications from Toph in regarding Sokka. “It’s true, you can’t tell what his artwork is half the time. He could do with some practice.” Fortunately for Zuko, he’d had years of practice. Only because he’d been banished without an idea at first of what to do. When he’d been healing Zuko had taken to drawing the past Avatar’s in his notebook frequently, something that had become a bit of an unlikely hobby for a prince, one that he didn't care about back then. Some things you tossed aside once you were stranded from your home, even ideals you had grown up with.

Her response had him letting loose a long breath or relief. Thank Tui and La she hadn’t had to experience that pain too. No one should have to experience it, that’s what Katara had told him and yet it had happened to him and there was nothing he could’ve done to change it except face what had happened mentally head on. “Only you would try to take one up on my father, Toph,” Zuko replied with an amused chuckle, not really meaning to admit who had hurt him so badly, no one else knew the truth of that, only that he had been injured due to a disagreement. The less people that knew the truth the better, at least that’s what Zuko thought.

Not expecting her to ask to touch the scar, Zuko hesitated. Normally he never liked anyone to touch his face, even his Uncle when he’d been tending to him. But Toph was merely curious and she wouldn’t hurt him … Zuko found himself reaching out gently as he took her hand in his own and guided it to his face, letting her feel where the permanent scar was. No amount of healing or herbal teas had been able to get rid of it, Zuko knew it was deep rooted and just something he had to live with now.

“It’s not pretty looking, I’ll tell you that, but it’s not as bad as when it first occurred,” Zuko told her, knowing she would feel the rough edges of the scar. It was a little sensitive to the touch, why Zuko avoided touching his face as well, however, he found himself leaning into Toph’s touch, finding her fingers more soothing than he thought possible.

Toph could only give him her own version of an ' eye roll ' , amusement lingered on her lips as she uttered ' sure zuko, whatever you say ' . After all , toph couldn't really be the judge of his drawing skills , considering that she can't see them anyway.

But amidst the joking both had shared , there's immediate shift in the air , after zuko let out of sigh in relief after finding out that toph didn't experience his ' burning ' . Keeping quiet, the earthbender had decided to just listen && let him speak , it didn't take to long for him to reveal who had caused the cruelty && in all honesty , toph had felt an immense hatred towards ozai. She couldn't fathom how a father could hurt his child without feeling any remorse but then who is she to judge, her own father is the same thing. What irked the earthbender more is how the fire bender could just laugh at it. Toph's face cringed at his amusment to his own misery. She wanted nothing but to punch him && make him realize that it wasn't alright && he didn't deserve it . She wanted to tell him that now she wished their soulmate bond had actually worked the way stories proclaimed it to be. That she should have experienced the burning pain he had to go through. That if they were meant to be tied together like this , she should have been there to share his burdens. Zuko never should haved had to face this kind of pain, lonelines && trauma alone.

&& Toph being toph, she was about to speak her mind only to be temporarily halted when his hands leads hers to the burn he recieved . Hesitation was written all over her face as she gaze up to him but the second her fingers touched the sensetive skin , toph's hand twitched before carefully resting her palms against it. It took her few moments to find assurance to start tracing the raised , uneven ridges that the burn had caused to his skin. For someone who wields the earth with fierceness && aggressiveness , toph's fingers && touch was gentle && careful , she would occasionally rub her thumbs on the area underneath his eyes. Her confidence grew further when she felt zuko lean in to his touch , eventually finding herself cupping his cheek to fully map the scar he had recieved. For someone blind like her , this kind of physical touch means a lot , so when she really felt , / memorized / && / cared for / every inch of it , the familiar warmth she was feeling earlier bloomed again in her chest. && this time with how they are positioned from one another , Zuko has an open book to what toph looks right now.

❝ Pretty is boring anyways ❞ Toph finally said softly, her voice missing it's usual sharp && teasing edge. Her hand remained still against his cheek , letting him rest against it as her thumb continued to caress his burnt skin. ❝ Pretty is a term used by people who never experienced hardship , they don't know that a mess , or something ' ugly ' can actually turn out so / beautiful / ❞ she smiled before realizing what she had said, with a blush on her face she removed her hand from him && covered up her embarrasment with the return of her snarky comments. ❝ Of course , what do I know about those words anyways ? I'm blind ❞

ooc. Toph loves to manhandle her lovers. May it be just to get their attention or in bed. And she is far too small compared to her bfs and gfs so she uses it to her advantage. Grabbing their coat with both hands and aggresively pull them down to her height for a kiss? Grabbing their chin to make them look at her? She'd do that. Pushing them against the wall and pinning them there by their shoulder as she leaned in to breathe against their neck? Yes sir.

Especially in bed , toph would wrestle with her partners for dominance may it be sexual or out of banter , and if she wins she will get on top of her partner , grabbing their neck and mouth with their small but strong hands to pin them down. Since the bed would be made of matress and not earth, toph's whole senses is soley focused on her partner. She would love to feel the change in her partner's heart bea, the way it makes them choke and gasp for air, the way that they will squirm under her and she has full control. Toph loves that so much.

&& if toph saw a threat or someone flirting with her partner. She isn't a jealous type but she sure do love showing the world whats hers by suddenly carrying their partner on her shoulder. Or worst princess style.

The air temple island knew no peace today, as two benders faced off . The courtyard groaned && rumbled , it's usual flat && normal terrain violently shifting it's form. Jagged slabs of stones litered everywhere , && stray boulders crashed && scattered on the ground . A thick earth wall thrusted upward was left unreturned , only a reminder of it's earlier purpose , to be a shield against the onslaught of elemental assualt . The showdown between the two was not a normal training session on the eyes of those watchers, it is infact a clash between two strong people. One is the avatar && the other is the greatest earthbender. There's no pausing from either party as Aang continued his strike. The ground trembled violently as a boulder was lifted from it's land , only for it to be hurled towards the blind earthbender. Vibrations rippled through the soles of her feet , her seismic sense instantly sending waves of warning for the incoming contact directed towards her. && Instead of dodging , with heaviness on her feet, she dug her heels through the floor, bringing her forearms infront of her chest , meeting the large projectile with a swift clawing motion of her palms , nails digging through the rock causing for the boulder to explode into dust . A loud elated laugh coming from Toph Beifong as the dust cloud spread further to hide her small form. ❝ Is that all you've got, Avatar? ❞ Toph taunted teasingly . ❝ And here I thought after a year apart, You'd finally put up a fight . I guess I was wronng! ❞ With a booming sound , toph sent a barrage of rock sharpnels , causing for it to pierce through the dust. Aang who reacted quickly , unleashed a crushing gale to defend himself, causing for the sharpnel to be deflected && the wind blast to surge forward. It was a blind spot for toph ( no pun intended lol ) , && without even a moment to react , the earth bender found herself thrown back wards with a loud yelp , body skidding against the ground floor of the courtyward && once the force had halted , toph was slightly disoriented && Bruised after that . Slowly pushing herself up , a satisfied grin appeared on her worn out face. ❝ Not bad, Twinkle Toes… Not bad!❞
