My theory is based upon the last Secret Report available in KH3. The 14th. Written by Braig, aka Luxu, he tells his story with Xehanort. He then talks about the Union leaders and that 'He will return', and I think he's talking about the Master of Masters. Could he be the one able to bring back the ancient world of Light? The hope could be what Xehanort tried to do all this time, which was recreating a world empty of darkness, a new beginning, 'pure and bright'. I'm not sure tbh

i had to go back and read the secret report you mentioned, but yeah, i agree he’s talking about the MoM. and it makes sense that the Master himself could have something to do with the contents of the box. i could even see MoM’s heart being inside it—to protect it until the second keyblade war comes to pass, at which point it can be given a new body. it’s kind of like a work-around method of time-travel, if you squint at it.

he might even have turned into a nobody, now that i think about it. that could be how he continues to watch everything that happens.

i still have NO idea what this means for the story, though, since we know so little about his, xigbar’s, or the foretellers’ intentions.

why does everything related to khx/khux have to be so damn vague
