Jatless on chapter 3. More wigs and more repressed feelings, but at least she got a Padawan 🛹🖤
the idea of a force plague was interesting in the old republic. Like there's this thing that has never not worked before, something so universal that nearly all beings exist within its reach, yet all of a sudden Jedi masters are afflicted with a sickness that drives them mad. The greatest, most powerful voices on the subject are not immune. Only in legend does the Barsen'thor exist as a hope of a cure.
And when you get into it, it's guilt. It's fear. It's remorse. It is your worst regrets haunting you decades down the line. It is a finely pointed metaphor for the emotional attachments regular folks have to deal with and overcome. And only the Barsen'thor, a being pure of heart and educated in healing others of this affliction, can help them help themselves.
POV: you are about to get infodumped on by a very tiny, very enthusiastic Jedi🫐😁

Fanart of @understorysunflecks 's consular, Mirris Taal!
This galaxy is worth a fight.

Man its so interesting seeing KotFE from a jedi perspective. I've only ever run it on sith inquisitor which felt like everything was designed perfectly for my character and its fascinating to see the changes in what is said to me and what I have the options to say, even only 3 chapters in
My inquisitor, Xira, was defiant the entire time. The emperor said "you have no choice but to join with me" and she, who spent her whole life clawing her way to agency with bloody teeth said "no, fuck you. You can't define me, I'm going to make my own rules." And while she opted to shut down the reactor (Ashara would never forgive her if she didn't, she's trying to be better), she understood all of Lana's frustrations and saw the logic in her cold hard calculations, she just said "no, I know I have the power to make this work. Watch me."
But with my consular, Hina, its SO different. She's not seething with indignity or conniving for the perfect moment to strike, she's waiting patiently to see where the Force takes her. Valkorion tells her "your friends will die and the republic will turn on you unless you join with me" and she says "so be it. I'm not afraid. No matter what I suffer I will continue to do what's right." And yet with Lana, she gets frustrated. She cannot tolerate the cruelty of the sith. She will not leave these people to die like Lana left Theron back on Rishi. It's not even that she knows she can do it, its that her ability doesn't matter. Succeed or fail, she must try. There is no other path.
And it's just so-! MWUAH! It's tasty is what it is!!
