How I Ask Someone to Run a SWTOR Operation With Me

Does anyone wanna run through/get carried in some Story Mode operations this weekend?

I’ll run any of them and even some hard mode ones if folks want achievements or to learn mechanics.

Experience not required, you just have to be level 80 with 320-ish gear rating

Edit: this is for Satele Shan server; discord not required but preferred (you do not have to talk, I can explain everything for every role) if you don’t have discord, I can use Ops Chat in-game

So I think im actually really enjoying R-4. I joined a random group and we went all the way to Lady Dominque where we did a few pulls but then someone had to leave and then the replacement came for one pull and mentioned they've only ever done this boss twice and both times were wiped. So a couple of us in the group we're all like, no worries, some of us haven't ever cometed this boss yet either. And then the dude just completely bounced. Left the voice chat, left the discord, and left the ops group. Like goddamn I've never seen such a clear case of someone wanting to be carried.

Anyways it was just nice to spend time playing a game without and IRL drama getting in the way.

Any swtor players who have never done ops/raid content before, want to do ops/raid content, but don’t want the judgement that might come with it? Are you a Solo player that wants to do Ops for the sake of the story (and to finish up those forsaken Oricon and Iokath quest lines)? Do you *still* have to finish your macrobinoculars/seeker droid quests?

Well, then you’re in luck. I’m creating a group for primarily story/solo players who want to mess around and figure out ops and group content together without any pressure. The goal is to gather enough people who want to do the content but don’t want to worry about messing up on a raid, and we’ll use guides and whatever little experience we might have to play through that harder content that, let’s be real, none of us really want to go into group finder for.

Please REACT TO THIS POST in some way (liking/reblogging/replying) if you’re interested, and if we get at least 8 people interested, I’ll message everyone with a discord invite.

Just a note: this group is not for “serious gamers” or experienced raiders. This group is for those with little to no raiding experience, who just want to get all the story or try things out, without having to worry about the intimidation of being one of, or the only person in a group who doesn’t know what they’re doing.

I’m about to do my very first operation in swtor in a few hours!

It’s just the short new one on Iokath, seems doable. Well I hope. But I’m still going to be dps unless they’re really short on healers.

I might stream it, did make it an event (twitch.tv/ruminspector 6.30gmt) but I still get freaked out and start shaking when someone talks on overwatch (they usually dont on eu so i forget to mute it) so won’t be on discord this time. One stressful new thing at a time…

Anyway I did watch playthrough and if i can stay dps i can just follow others and hit their targets so hopefully I’m not a complete failure on my first ops.
