Beginner’s Course: Lottie and Troy
She sat on the wall, waiting for the her new underling to arrive. There wasn't much light from the quarter moon, but it was crisp and bright. Around her the forest sang with night life; tree frogs, crickets, a fox chirping to its young. It was a charming wood, if nothing else could be said for it; rumors around the town were it was a dangerous place. She smirked, knowing that she would have a hand in making those rumors come true sooner or later.
The tiny town had shifted, the heat front finally gone. Hard to say why, but She had her informants and they said there was a new Fae in town: a creature of snow and death. She hadn’t encountered the being yet, nor was she curious enough to go looking. Winter Fae, while once a tribute to her own court, She found to be rather dull. Once and a while one might prove her wrong, but she wasn’t obliged to give them a chance.
She could hear light footsteps coming through the woods. Probably Troy, doubtful to be a Human. Two legs, not a wolf; she was too far inland for any senseable Merfolk to venture. Her gut wasn’t telling her to flea, so probably not a Vampire.
“Not over or under, but in-between, is where ye find the blessed and the unblessed seen. Hailse, Troy.”
