“Why would anybody want to flirt with my brother? Gross.”
Does Shalria (or Shakira, according to my autocorrect), establish a hierarchy for other humans, and even other species, or does she lump everyone together, nobles and commoners and merfolk, beneath the Dragons?
// Answered under the cut! (Also I had a good chuckle over your autocorrect, now I’m going to think of this song every time I have to spell her name)

“It is funny, do you not agree, that there is another thing which provides all the adjectives you just listed yet actively avoid… Skin. Human touch.”
“Skin and fur feel nothing alike,” he points out, leaning forwards to lock eyes with Morgan. “And I certainly indulge in my fair share of skin on skin contact. You offerin’ to help me indulge a little more?”

Did you know that when I made Jake as a character he was originally a straw hat pirate? He then evolved to being apart of the Heart Pirates but later down the line, I made him more independent. A wild rollercoaster with that one
A bouquet of white roses and edelweiss arrives for Sanji.
— @sxlverswan
Sanji didn’t expect that, in the middle of the day, someone would approach their ship with two large, bouquets in their arms. They had been rightfully skittish, knowing they were approaching a marked pirate ship, but Sanji was quick to accept the gifts and send them away before they collapsed out of fear.
His surprise doubled when he noted the little tags dangling from the paper wrapped around the flowers. One for him, and one for another of their crew. Sadly, the sender was a mystery. Although, whoever it was clearly held a level of class and thoughtfulness that few he knew possessed.
“Beautiful.” Sanji set one bundle aside and held the one for him near, nose nuzzling at the fragrant petals of a rose. He was familiar with all manner of roses, as they were his favorite, but it was the small, star-shaped and wooly flowers that intrigued him most. They were so small and so soft that he found himself running his fingers over those petals the most now that he knew they were there. “Never seen flowers like this before. They’re so cute!”
He knew that flowers had a language of their own, but he knew very little about it. Their meaning would remain unknown for now, but the intent behind it felt pure enough.
“I’ll take good care of these, I promise.” Even if the sender couldn’t hear him, he hoped they knew that he was grateful.
Active Protector Starters - @sxlverswan
“That escalated so... quick.” Sweat was rolling down his face as he leaned against the wall, sitting on a barrel, swallowing in air - letting her look over his injuries. It had been... well, a long time since he had last gotten into a fight like that. He didn’t think people knew who he was. He had been wearing a bandana around his head, hiding his hair. There wasn’t much he could do about the scars or missing arm, but he thought no one knew him. All he had wanted was a quiet walk. But guess others had a different idea.
“Those sons of bitches ambushed me. How many guys were there, ten? Twenty?” He winced, grabbing his side, “They got me a couple times I think,” he looked down at his hand - yeah, bleeding. That was blood. It’d been a while since he had gotten hit like that, “Glad you showed up. Might have been a goner otherwise.” Sure, he probably would have gotten out of it by himself but having someone else didn’t hurt.

Dellinger was actually the one who taught her how to put on eyeliner, even pointing out that she could turn her finger into a knife to help keep her lines straight. It took some practice (and more than a few accidental cuts to the face) but she now can do it perfectly. However, she does still use the knife technique simply because of how convenient it is for her.
He had walked into the event with a simple plan at hand; he, a beriless man with need for resources, was to enter the gathering posing as a waiter, cooper haired with an unnatural drive to serve, waiting for the perfect opportunity to discard the act and blend in with the aristocracy, seeing and hoping for someone to be distracted enough for his hands to steal whatever he could find. Certainly a rushed, risky plan, but this occasion posed a chance he couldn’t waste, for such place was a goldmine in his eyes, so to leave without having robbed anyone would be a mistake only a fool made.
It was quite laughable how easily he got in without much trouble, since the place was seemingly understaffed, soon finding out why —how unpleasant it was to be looked at with disgust, to be demanded with a snap of well-kept fingers. It was clear why the staff would rather choose to be absent than tolerate such horrible treatment. He felt the humilliation creep on his body like venom, uncomfortably prickling at his skin; would he too, be just like them had he never left his birthplace? His throat grew dry at the thought of it, swallowing hard before he rushed away.
Upon entering a bathroom that was far enough to be ignored, his first action was to wash the copper color off his hair, letting it return to its natural pale blue shade for him to stylize it differently. A coat that he had stolen to cover the vest he used, the discarded tie and a different hair color and style would be enough to hopefully fool the gathering, he mused —except for his mask, but he wasn’t about to discard it in favor of a place full of strangers, one of might could recognize him. Very few had heard his voice, and despite his height, the people there weren’t interested in what or how a waiter looked like.
So the first thing he did before putting the most exciting part of his plan in action was to head outside, begging for fresh air to fill his lungs and remind him such place and people were past him. That he was free, yet terribly lonely. The balcony was the nearest place to breathe, but as soon as he stepped out he caught sight of one he had met somewhere different. Clearly, he was surprised, pleasantly so to say the least; even so, he couldn’t let his hopes get the best of him, instead walking slowly in her direction, waiting for any sign that would tell him she remembered him too, taking the time to lift her hand and place a kiss in it.
❝You looked quite lonely out here, milady❞ he stated simply, as he carefully let go of her hand, smaller and well cared for in comparison. ❝Are you enjoying yourself?❞
