no for real. just. picture it okay?? this super excitable ten year old who somehow wound up idolizing his big bro (leo did cool things with that dragon alright, tell me that isn't any ten year old's dream) and just when he thinks that battle is over, and he'll get to tell leo how amazing he is/what a hero he is 

he can't find leo anywhere. people are sobbing. and when he asks jason where his brother went ("is he hurt? will he be with will in the infirmary?") someone has to fucking shoot his hopes to hell and tell him leo isn't coming back.

jason won't be able to look harley in the eye for days.

jason loves all of you, but here’s why…

jason’s respect for leo is through the roof. not to say he hasn’t always found something to admire about leo, but he’s learned to really appreciate it. absence makes the heart grow clingy, blah blah—however that works. leo is intuitive, and reckless in noble ways, and has a way of making everything seem so casual that jason can’t help but gravitate towards him. can’t help but want to defend him. can’t help but be his friend, because with leo comes a sense of belonging. there will not be a day where jason looks at leo and piper and think “—this is home. this is where i’m meant to stay.”

this is going to sound beyond stupid, but—jason feels responsible for leo’s well being. he knows what it’s like to be tossed out, he understand what it’s like growing up guarded and scared of letting people in. he swears to honour every promise he’s ever made leo, and would be really crushed if he ever let him down. as much as leo makes him feel at ease, he wishes he could do the same. provide the same kind of security and comfort, and he tries really hard for it. he has no gift for humour, but he’s a damn good fighter. if fighting for leo and piper is all he can really do, then—jason’s found a cause to die for if needs be. not that he’s ever going to admit that.

like you know hera took piper's memories from her about leo and replaced all of them with jason so what if she dID THE REVERSE AND TOOK ALL OF PIPER'S REAL MEMORIES ABOUT JASON AND PUT LEO IN THEM AND THEN TOOK JASON OUT BC HE;S HER FUCKING CHAMPION AND DO YOU REALIZE HOW MUCH HEART BREAK IT WOULD BE
