Somehow, between the fallout of the failed Kingsglaive revolt, getting assigned guard duty on Prince Ravus of Tenebrae, and getting saddled with command of the Kingsglaive, Nyx Ulric had gotten it into his head that Axis should be the one assigned to guard Princess Lunafreya.

He even had the utter nerve to act like it was some kind of treat rather than a responsibility.

Or maybe he just hoped a father would be better at corralling the princess than he himself had been.

Axis sighed, straightening his shoulders as the princess entered the room. He had no idea how to do formal introductions.
