Sagaramatha Next: A dream project for us, is located at 3750 m altitude in Khumbhu Valley of Nepal and will be a center where waste from Sagarmatha will be up-cycled into art and hence will help create a sustainable future for the local community as well as the visitors to the area.

As the construction progresses on site, we have been working on a 1:50 scaled model of the project so that it can used to communicate the ideas of the project to the local community as well as the building team.  Building a model like this also helps us think about how the materials come together.

The model is now ready to be transported to Syangboche, where the building team will be able to refer to it as they work on the site. Exciting stuff!

this is the highlight! the view from the everest view hotel dining room at the height of 3,880m from the sea level. from left to right, the mountains' names are cholatse, taboche, nuptse, everest (sagarmatha), lhotse and ama dablam (the last one mean 'mother's necklace).

at 07:46am from the balcony of the everest view hotel's triple room. it was very cold; however, the weather was considered nice to me :) the hotel's hot shower room was very nice. i love the warmth from the heater there.

having got off the horse at the syangboche runway, we would keep walking up a bit more to the everest view hotel.
