Upon hearing Mina speak of her helping hand with the King, Oakley figured it was probably best to travel to Acrine to see what the humans were all about. The neutral ship still not falling on a side when it came to this war, despite their hands in many baskets. Mina said that she just wanted to see to it that all of their bases were covered and well researched before deciding to ally with anyone. It surely was not as simple as Oakley had wanted it to be, finding it complicated to even begin to pick a side. Mercy, a vampire, held true to her promise despite his captains reservations. Vivi, a mermaid, had been nothing but helpful to the crew with damage control despite that intrinsic hate for mermaids that Mina had. It probably was safer for the girl if he kept that piece of knowledge under wraps. And then there was Viktor, the human king, that Mina had managed to help in the battle. Oakley knew that there was no way to speak with the king directly, so he sought out anyone that would approach him as he sat in the tavern. “You,” his attention turned toward a girl sitting a little bit down the way. “You wouldn’t happen to know anything about the king. You must forgive me though, I am not from the kingdom, so I have no idea how he truly runs things.”
