Censer Smoke and Mirror Offspring Bios Started!

All offspring of Censer Smoke and Mirrors will include body horror tropes and are contextualized as monsters. please heed trigger warnings.

Sybil is a fungal symbiote, infected by the whispers of the odd mushrooms she collected and cultivated within Shadow and Plague, she is now one with a hive-mind of networks around Sornieth referred to simply as "The Rot" and operates as their mouthpiece, speaking to others to encourage them to join her in the embrace of the mushrooms she so adores- a monster made from scarcity and childhood loneliness, she truly doesn't mean any harm.

She just wants to be known, embraced- called someone's friend perhaps.

But with her form twisted and overgrown, wings splintered to better spread spores and her body gaunt from operating as little more than living substrate- it's difficult to get past the intention of that which afflicts her to honor the scared young woman beneath.

“    i’m fine,    ”        the lie comes to her naturally to save face. after all, it’s embarrassing to fall out of a tree in front of the guy you’ve been spying on for weeks. but she got a bit too into their band’s mv. you may blame her but he’s really good at the drums. 

sybil got a lead that he’s something supernatural. she can’t prove it as of the moment, but she knew she saw him vanish from where he was for a second before he stood there again like nothing happened. 

sybil is quick to her feet, brushing the dust off her top and wincing when she sees a grass stain on her white skirt. she can’t really meet his eyes just yet. “i’m just ... a fan,” now she sounds like a stalker even if it’s not far from the truth. so, she finally meets his eyes with an embarrassed smile. 

“wow you’re really cute close up,” so that’s not a lie.

“  you found me, huh? i’m sorry,  ”   sybil sounded as if she regretted being caught more than she was sorry. what would she be sorry for? she had been investigating supernatural beings for years now. she thought it was very likely that he was one of them. but he caught her following him in her disguise ( a hat and sunglasses ) before she could find any evidence. a light bulb lit up above her head. “ you looked like a celebrity, i’m a paparazzi. ”  she hopes it’ll work.
