The ruckus lulled into silence as the camera flashes blurred out of view. Stillness settled between the two of them for a few fleeting moments. Just as how it draped across the concluding hours of the night. Amira was quite sure it must be near three in the morning. As usual, she didn’t feel heavy-eyed. Though she was exhausted and perhaps a smidge torpid.
The stilettos were the first to go. Amira swiftly tugged them off her aching feet and tossed them underneath the seat before pulling her feet up. She would have to get them later.
“ Theo, babe, if all the gum stuck in the repulsing depths of the ball pit was to clump into one monster attacking me, it would still not be as bad as kissing you those fifteen times. ” she exaggerated, barely casting a glance his direction as she fidgeted with the clasp of her necklace. Yes, it was lent by a designer, and yes, they were diamonds. However, she didn’t care that much momentarily.
“ Okay, sorry, that was mean and an exaggeration, ” she immediately felt guilty. “ You’re not a bad kisser. However, your personality still needs tons of work. ” Well, it was a start.
“ ouch, that hurt, ” his hand’s on his heart with a smirk on his lips. theo isn’t shying away from exaggeration. in amira’s presence, he knows he somehow gets just as childish and mischievous as her. he calls it the amira affect. like sunshine, she spreads childlike warmth in everyone. he likes it even if he’s never going to admit it.
“you should be sorry, mira. you hurt my heart. why don’t you say sorry again just to bring it home this time?” theo sees her fidgeting with her necklace, too busy to really pay attention to his words. from where he’s sitting, he stretches his hand out and taps the nape of her neck and unclasps the necklace with a swift movement. “unclasped too many bras to not be good at it. you’re welcome, babe.”
