obsessed with all your extremely detailed and specific dreams. and your intense subconscious parasocial relationship with uklg. respect

Thank you. I am honestly having a lot of fun here. Even when it’s a stress dream about having to impress uklg’s surviving relatives, because the absurdity of the scenario is always funny in retrospect. It is inherently a silly genre of stress dream to have.

I live NOWHERE near Portland
sybilvimes replied to your post:TagViewer
my assumption was that it had to do with the notes system being revamped
Oh, I didn’t think of that, but that would be a reasonable explanation. I hope XKit fixes the problem soon!
diamondorloj replied to your post “TagViewer”
I have the same problem. At some point when I just let it load, it shows me the same set of tags I've already seen again and again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well, at least I’m not the only one, then. That’s a relief. ;) Reading tags is half the fun on Tumblr. I don’t know what I would do without it.
fooferah replied to your post “TagViewer”
There's a bunch of shit all messed up right now.
Tumblr has a penchant for breaking things, it seems. /sigh
@sybilvimes replied to your post:les mis isn't actually about the French...
I think this message was about the tags you reblogged about it not mattering if people misinterpret hamilton as real history, where the initial author of the tags argued that nobody thinks les mis is an accurate portrayal of the french revolution.
Ohhhhhh, yeah, that would make more sense! Also it would make sense that I didn’t remember it, since I didn’t write those tags. :)
Anon, if you’re out there and that was the post you meant, sorry I didn’t figure it out! I put 99% of my reblogs in the queue, and sometimes they don’t publish for a couple days. But I still learned something new about Les Mis anyway!
for some reason I assumed you were going to vanish off the face of tumblr again when you said you were going to... the mountains of japan, didn't you say? even though they have internet in japan. are you still there or was it a brief trip?
lololol
i disappeared off the face of tumblr when i lived in india because the internet there is terrible, like if you open up facebook you may as well go make yourself a snack because you’ll be there for a while. i didn’t even bother with tumblr because i had better things to do than look at some grey boxes that wasted my data.
but now i live in japan with INTERNET in my ROOM (i’m here for about a year) so i can resume my busy schedule of mostly ignoring tumblr but occasionally showing up to yell at some kids. i keep getting new followers, which is frankly the greatest mystery to me. who are you? what led you here? tell me about yourself.

@sybilvimes and I were thinking about a Hamilton!Night Watch AU and just...
Vimes as George Washington
Young Sam as Hamilton
Ned Coates as Burr
Snapcase as King George
Obviously it doesn’t all translate over but still:
"Pardon me, are you Ned Coates?" "Totes."
"So how you'd rebel? How'd you get to Ankh-Morpork so fast?" "It was my sergeant's dying wish before he passed." "Ah, so you're a revolutionary. Gods, I wish there was a war so we could use the password swordfish"
Ladies and gentlemen! (here comes the sergeant) The moment you've been waiting for! (Here comes the sergeant) The Prid of Ankh-Morpork (here comes the sergeant) John Keel!
We are out-bowed (what!) out-manned (what!) Out-numbered, out-planned (whoo whoo whoo) We gotta build some barricades, you know I'm gonna need an actual plan
“You say/The rate of my taxes is a tax you're unwilling to pay/Why so sad?/Remember we made an arrangement when I became lord, now I'm literally maaaaad”
And then, of course, “Then I remember that my Sybil’s expecting me/Not only that, my Sybil’s expecting/We gotta go, gotta get the job done/Gotta get home, gotta meet my son!”
It would only work for the first act, but just think....

How much am I going to hate/love you if I start...
#note that if you watch it on youtube I'm pretty sure the soundtrack gets muffled #so you won't have the benefit of the endearingly hokey music choices
wait.. what? I just checked this with the pilot and they let you hear the intro of from a million miles but then the audio just gets turned down and ?????? this is a new thing.. I (re)watched the entire show on youtube (but the episodes were still chopped up in like.. 5 or 6 parts instead of the whole thing in one video back then) years ago before I got the dvds and I’m pretty sure the soundtrack was still included back then (except for like 1 episode idk)
I went back and found the versions that are chopped in smaller chunks and those do appear to have a fully functioning soundtrack? so.. it’s a bit more of a hassle, but @saphuraif you do want to check it out, maybe you should ignore the links I just provided and watch the pilot here instead.. and the rest of the episodes here those are actually the versions I watched back in 2012 and they’re still up.. I think there might be 1 or 2 episodes missing or missing a few parts but most of them are there and they should all have their soundtracks intact..
