S M A R T S T A Y: The NoMad Las Vegas, where NYC cool meets Las Vegas drama. Swoon.
I am still dealing with the #saguaro hotel #palmsprings after 3 works of art were stolen in 2 separate thefts. The hotel did not contact the police after the first theft and allowed the 2nd theft to happen several days later. I have the full police report which is an interesting read!! #thesaguaropalmsprings #sydellgroup #palmspringsmuseum (at The Saguaro Palm Springs)
The #saguarohotel Palm Springs has not reached any agrerment with me on the 2 separate thefts they allowed to happen during a show on loan from the #palmspringsmuseum in October. The #saguaro has made no attempts to reach out to me for the loss of 3 paintings. #neglience #badhotel #sydellgroup
CASE STUDY - boutique hostels
There is something just too good about a hotel that feels like home. Somewhere comfortable that literally eases you into bed - or out of it? I've recently fallen in love with what is the up and coming reoccurring beauty of simplistic / budget / hotel design. This work of art is part of The Sydell Group (more to follow on this specific company). The Freehand Miami is the newest upscale hostel in the loop, designed by Roman and Williams, this Art Deco restoration of the previous Indian Creek Hotel has tastefully, and creatively adopted the boutique hostel trade mark, allowing young & old alike to be immersed in a beautiful building / with hand crafted interiors and bespoke artwork.
This isn't just a trend, there has been such a need for this kind of revitalization in the hospitality sector, making hotels and hostels alike more available to budget travelers. Roman and Williams are famously good with the vintage interior and this is no exception, but what also gives Freehand Miami it's edge is the culture around it, the thought that has gone into it's audience perception and the creative ingenuity of it's owners. See for yourselves. And someone buy me a plane ticket?
