Ok, so it’s official, level 2 restrictions for Sydney water start December 10. Does this mean your lawn is stuffed? NO! Under the new restrictions, the following is allowed; ✅ “You can only use drip irrigation or smart watering systems for a maximum of 15 mins a day before 10 am and after 4 pm. “ THESE RESTRICTIONS WONT APPLY IF YOUR WATER IS FROM BORE,TANK, or RECYCLED water( as long as it doesn’t have an auto top up valve from Sydney water supply) Doesn’t sound like much, but if you water your smart system at around 4-6 am before the heat and sun come up, that 15 minutes will be much more effective. The current systems which have weather adjustments like the b-hyve timers, or timers with soil moisture sensors or even rain sensors, are all still valid, as they water only when the lawn can use it most. If your unsure, and or want to upgrade your irrigation so you can not only be compliant with the restrictions, but be a much more efficient waterer, contact us! In the meantime, we wait for rain and send our donations, support, and freebies to the emergency services battling the drought and fires!
