theres probably more ive had over time that im forgetting too. in my defense i also had a ton of Daernika AUs back when that was the ttrpg campaign i was obsessed with

part of the fun thing about AUs is figuring out like... what parts of a character's personality are inherent to them, and what parts are from their circumstances/experiences. And for OCs that's actually super helpful for figuring out the core of who the character is.

Like, i've been thinking about a roleswap AU for Syldan and Seren, and for Syldan especially it's super fun to poke at who she would be if she wasn't basically indoctrinated by the Dhu Kalin. There's parts of her that are still there but she's so much more open and lighter without all the layers of repression and trauma and aaaaaaaa
