Yes, it’s quite tricky, I try to familiarize myself with the control.. I still can’t get it to work on the cutscenes though.. Ahh, too bad the timestop isn’t available, that would be really cool, like you said: actions scenes and I think the leap of faith would be awesome as well XD.. AC4 and ACRogue is quite similar, I thought we can use the tools on ACRogue, no?

Uhm not really, it actually depends. Although Rogue and AC4 have more or less the same engine, the authors still need to alter specific codes in order to make them work with the other game. Not sure how the timestop works in Black Flag though, I will check it out as soon as I can!

Aegerine: My Shay’s opinion on the Supernatural.

I am sure Shay has encountered more off screen given how he’s hands-on in dealing with the sites himself. I would say that this would affect how he sees the Supernatural to a certain extent. I wrote before that I headcanon’d Shay as Irish Catholic given the history of the Irish back then in the colonies that matched with Shay’s experiences. The precursor sites and tragic events have a tendency to affect one’s view on God but did Shay just simply let go of it?Nope.

If you know anyone who has grown up in a religion, you would know that it is hard for them to let go of what they have been raised to believe or do. It is already their schema and Shay would be no different. He is just human as well. One could actually view the artifacts and the first civilization as a part of The Creation. His encounters with these artifacts would explain a lot of things but it does necessarily equate to the idea of there being no God.

Bloodstone: How my Shay sees himself as a part of the world at large.

Shay believes that it is his responsibility to help as much as he could especially with the threat happening on both sides. Does he see himself as a saviour? No, but he does believe that he has to do something if ever anything good is going to happen. The fact the he is just one person makes him feel a bit insignificant because what he does for the world can easily be negated. His work in what he believes to be a service to mankind has humbled him.

Emerald: How Shay tells someone he loves them without words.

Shay actually will try to engage the other person by actively participating in their interests. For example, even if he does not like the taste of tea, you would find him actually initiating conversations over tea himself.If he is away, he will constantly be sending letters and packages from where he is as long as the situation is still safe for him and the person he loves. If enemies have begun to track them down then he will have no choice but to stop. However, this would not mean that he will just let the other person be. He would have someone he greatly trusts to watch over them if he has to just for their sake.

Iolite: Shay’s drinking habits.

Shay used to be abuse this a lot when he was younger but being in the Templar Order had him tone down. How so? There’s just barely any time for it. He no longer has as much luxury of free time like he used to and has the maturity to control himself from drinking too much. Of course, this would not stop himself from doing social drinking with allies or friends.Or maybe that nice drink before and after a good romp.

Rhodonite: If Shay prefers elegance over convenience.

If Shay had to pick, he would choose convenience. It’s all about keeping it real for Shay and he is a man who is very grounded in reality after all. However, convenience isn’t everything for him. He still wants to look good and feel good. Shay would prefer a balance between the two.

Chunky Monkey:a names, addresses, nicknames, etc. headcanon.

Shay actually hates being called a Cabbage farmer or anything that’s related to cabbages. It was an actual racial slur during his time after all. He would try to ignore it and maybe shrug it off by cracking a joke but push it down hard enough and he might just get legitimately pissed off.

He is actually bitter about this with Chevalier especially since that man was rather untouchable given that he was his senior back then in the Colonial Brotherhood.

Jasmine Peach Tea:a self-care/self-love headcanon

The way Shay cares for his appearance actually reflects his current situation. If he feels uncomfortable, insecure or left out, he might neglect things like shaving or cutting his hair. On the other hand, a sense of belonging and security makes him care more about his appearance.

Kiwi Midori: a creative arts headcanon. 

Shay has tried his hand on drawing but, so far, he’s average at it. He gets to a decent level in the later years but refuses to try painting. The latter is just too time consuming for his taste and he gets bored easily.This interest came to him after realizing that he cannot afford immortalizing people’s faces as artists are expensive as hell so he will take the next best thing. If he can’t have anyone else do it, he’ll just do it himself.

Lemon Angel Food:a virtue headcanon.

FidelityIf it’s one thing about Shay it’s the idea of one. Faithfulness to a single person as reflected by his Catholic upbringing of a covenant with one God. True enough, he has enjoyed sleeping around in his younger years but it leaves that tinge of guilt in him no matter how much fun he had when he was doing it. He feels most comfortable in dedicating himself to one person.HOWEVER, it doesn’t matter how he acquired that person given how his emotions can be a flurry at times and he might do something stupid like, for example, take someone else’s significant other (especially if they’re not close, he is unlikely to do that to a friend) if he lets himself get carried away.Whether he got the person through honest means or a scandalous affair, one thing’s for sure, he will be faithful to them even if it means years of being away from each other.

Phish Food:a music headcanon.

Shay can’t remember lyrics to songs no matter how much he tries. If he tries to sing with his men, he tends to sing the wrong lyrics or just break into an awkward but jolly hum.His crew pokes fun of this from time to time.
