Sylvi came into the world screaming alongside her twin brother, Aren. Born to the Alfsson family within the Visser pack meant she was born to a great calling. With Skadi and Torben as parents, she grew up following their guidance, and that of her older sister and brother, Astrid and Svenn, before passing her own wisdom along to their youngest brother, Storr. Their bonds to each other were as strong as the steel her parents forged. She shared her mothers daring, and her father’s directness and an impatience that was surely a varland trait, keen to jump into the fray. She grew up free-spirited and stubborn, just like her parents and her siblings.
Whatever she lacked in strength, she made up for in resourcefulness, having the ability to make something out of nothing like her parents. She may not have been as stealthy as her sister, more content to jump headfirst into something, but she shared that keen-eyed gaze. The ability to see things others didn’t.
When war came to their gates in 2020, Sylvi had to lean on that resourcefulness and on that spirit that threatened to be crushed in the midst of battle when Sigurd fell beside her and she could do nothing to save him. She almost perished that day as well were it not for her aunt Suna, pulling her from the chaos at the last minute.
The next four years were a test of endurance and that resourceful nature as they faced all manner of challenges. Sticking by her aunt, the two of them traveled through the US, having some near misses along the way before crossing into Canada in hopes of locating their pack.
In November 2023, they were caught in a safetown that was burned to the ground in the middle of the night. Unwilling to leave without each other, they were captured in the chaos and taken to Thunder River holding camp where they’ve been since. Despite the circumstances, Sylvi is holding out hope that their family will find them, wherever they are, and she’s stick closing to her aunt until they do.
