Oh my god, on Friday night my bf had a friend over to watch Korra and since I was feeling really sick/I don't watch Korra I decided to go take a nap. I woke up and heard parts of the show through the bedroom wall and I heard people talking about Zuko and it clicked so I came out and said, "Wait, is Zuko a person on this show? Is there someone who's name ends with Tara? Because my bestie* on tumblr has "bisexualzuko" as her handle and she's always talking about Zutara as a ship, is that this?"

And my bf was like "Yeah, Zuko and Katara. That's not really a made up ship, they're basically canon" But his friend disagreed, so they started fighting. I was still sick and sleepy, so I padded off back to bed and left them to an all-out ship war totally instigated by you via me. My bf claims he totally won the argument, and that you're obviously right about Zutara. I still don't follow any of that, but I hope you appreciated it! *P.S. I hope it's ok I described you as my bestie on tumblr!

zutara isn't so much basically canon in korra as it is in the show korra is a spin off of, avatar, due to katara being in korra to look sad and scold her kids but yeah

If you're referring to who I'm thinking you are, I'm fairly certain this is someone else.  This time it's more about the pairing itself and not the shippers.
