I’ve said that I have a crush on Captain Allen for a thousand times (i blame this on @thirium-fiction DPD S/O reactions it’s too good) so here are my thoughts about our captain.
He is a really cool character and I feel like we need more Cpt. Captain Allen ( @magical-musical-imagines thanks for the name lol) contents in dbh fandom.
First of all, not to be nsfw, he is HOT AF what a handsome man probably very fit ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and his voice??? sexy “I haven’t got a clue.”
At the beginning of The Hostage, Captain Allen says:
He is pissed off because two of his men were down, Emma was in danger, but they still need to wait for Connor to be on site and negotiate.
He’s a responsible leader and SWAT member who really cares about his team and the life of a kid.
Although he can’t wait anymore and he is mad, he does not take any action because he is not given the orders. This is kind of similar to machine!Connor strictly following his instructions.
Of course he is annoyed but he still gives a briefing to Connor and askes Connor to deal with Daniel immediately (in a not-so-friendly way but we can see that he puts the rescue as priority)
“So either you deal with this fucking android now, or I will take care of it.”
Besides, he does not interfere with Connor’s negotiation. He must be angry at androids (remember Daniel kills some of his men, they couldn’t interfere because they doesn’t have the order to take the hostage while Connor did) but he keeps his personal emotions to himself.
From his lingering stare at Connor after the successful negotiation, he seems impressed. (that complicated look what a mood akdjdndb) One android just puts a girl in danger and killed people, while the other accomplishes the mission and saves a human life.
So I think his attitude towards androids is not that certain? The game didn’t really indicate that he’s a 100% android hater. I’ll say it’s rather complicated.
Ok Captain Allen’s second and last scene is in the Last Mission chapter. (we need more scenes!!!)
He stops Connor because he is given the order “to detain any android he finds”. We know that he sticks to his orders just like Connor does.
I don’t know whether you’ve seen my Mission - Android vs. Human post. I noticed that in terms of accomplishing missions, Captain Allen and machine!Connor have the same kind of determination. In my opinion, Allen is like a human version of machine!Connor.
Also, Allen remembers Connor (um that mission was definitely memorable)
“I know you...You’re Connor, the android from that hostage situation.”
In his tone, I don’t think there’s any hate? If Connor died in the hostage situation, the next line of Allen would be: “I thought you were dead.” So I feel like Captain Allen does not simply treat androids as machines. And his reaction when Connor jumps off the building (if the player chooses “flee”):
what a mood look at that bold capitalised CONNOR
The way he shouts “Connor”?? Like?? He is not like “Stop! No!” He called out Connor’s name instead. As if at that moment he considers Connor as a human and then he realised that Connor is just an android which will do anything to accomplish the mission.
(I’m not sure about this part. This is just my interpretation.)
Another possible outcome is the fight (if the player doesn’t choose flee)
Finally I got to talk about this part aksjsndn
Captain Allen got good skills damn (definitely well trained). Restraining Connor?? Dodging two bullets??? He’s the CAPTAIN OF A SWAT SQUAD after all. LOOK AT HIS FACE- DEADPAN

If Captain Allen wins, he will say this after shooting:
I don’t consider this as hate for Connor. In the hostage situation, the authorities could’ve given the squad orders to let them save Emma asap, which means that less members would get injured/killed. However, Connor is sent so the squad has to stand by and wait, which is the last thing Captain Allen wants. That’s why he says he should’ve just killed Connor at that time.
These are just my thoughts and appreciation for our captain. He’s not like some other characters being rude to androids or what. (well he does dislike androids) He simply accomplishes his mission. Captain Allen is like an example of human following orders without any emotions involved?? like Connor?
In a way, I think Captain Allen and machine!Connor could make a good team skdkdnsj
This is a super long post. I didn’t expect to write this much. Thanks for reading no matter you’d agree with me or not! I just think that someone has to talk about him and he deserves more love <3
