Tell me how you first discovered his holiness David Sylvian

I first read that as “unholy mess” which….is also accurate. 

It was two years ago when I was stuck in a massive depressive episode. I couldnt get out of bed and I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t connect to anything, not even myself and I was losing it. I was trying to find things I used to love that made me happy to see if something would spark. I was a massive massive fan of 80s new wave, post punk, music etc when I was 13/14. so I tried hopping back on that train with Duran Duran. I was in the nick rhodes tag here on tumblr and I kept seeing this name over and over again, “david sylvian” and all I could think was 1. thats a super cool name and 2. why the hell dont i know who he is? So I looked him up and I have never known peace since that day

Character ask thingy: Chet Desmond

How I feel about this character: I've grown to love him more. He's an edgy boy. I wonder what he would have done if he didn't vanish and got the Twin Peaks case. He doesn't appear as sensitive as Cooper, and has a better verbal filter than Albert, but cares just as much as the both of them, and maaaaaybe would have been able to navigate the social rules of the town while still managing to conduct the full investigation. Although, if it were him that got punched by Harry, he would definitely hit back, and that wouldn't have been good for anyone.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Sam and that's it. But he and Mulder are ex-boyfriends for sure.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Him and Teresa. And I enjoy the idea of his interactions with the rest of the Blue Rose crew, but I think I like him better in his own little bubble. Perhaps because I have such a hard time mentally connecting him to the rest of the Twin Peaks world. Those first 30 minutes of Fire Walk With Me felt like its own movie (new location, new characters, different tone) so much that its difficult to imagine Cooper and Chet working in the same building.

My unpopular opinion about this character: Unpopular in my circle, I guess, but I'm not sure if this is widely held - I don't really like the idea of him and Albert together (at least not anymore).

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: For him to comeback. Or maybe stay away, because in that case he's safe from the narrative. I wanted MORE after his disappearance, like some hint of him in season 3 beyond the little name drop when Tammy is getting debriefed.
