Guys, my mother discovered something absolutely insane + amazing through researching our family tree. We discovered that ANOTHER relative of ours (but on our grandma’s side) was also on the HMS Beagle and best friends with Charles Darwin. Our relative on our grandfather’s side was also on the HMS Beagle and friends with Charles. So they were on there at the same time.
Decades later, my grandmother and grandfather would meet, having no idea that two people in their family were in such close proximity.
What are the chances?!?! this makes me believe in fate
