carmine: do you prefer having or not having a schedule? — In between with more of an inclination toward “not having.” This is my second week at home and wish I could just do what I want, when I want to. Not that I don’t want to work, but I’m tired of these hours holding me hostage. I complain about that a lot, but I’m just very tired.
persian red: answer with a picture of your dream holiday destination.

Top 3 quotes to describe your lifeI was hoping someone would ask this, even though this is a really hard one... I think I went with quotes that describe how I’m trying to be
“All that beauty within a universe unraveling. Be proud of your place in the cosmos. It is small and yet it is. How unlikely. How fantastic. And stupid. And excellent.” (Welcome To Night Vale)
I chose this one because I’m trying to be proud. Of myself and the things I’ve overcome. Because there’s so much beauty in this world and I’m trying to see it, to find it, to be it.
“It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them.” (Aldous Huxley)
This quote I chose because I’m a worrier. I can’t help it. I will worry about every situation, I will worry about every person who matters to me. I lie awake and worry. I think too much about things. I’m trying to learn how to live with that.
“People grow when they are loved well. If you want to help others heal, love them without an agenda.” (Mike McHargue)
I chose this one because it’s something that’s important in social work, and I’m trying to adapt it more into daily life as well. One of my professors once said: “If you do something for someone else, and they don’t thank you, and you get offended by them not thanking you, you weren’t really doing it for them. You were doing it for yourself.” That really hit me. Of course it depends on the relationship with the person. This was specifically meant in the way you’d treat a client. Still, it’s something important I’m trying to remember more often.
