After Steve and Bucky rescue their pals from the Raft prison, they decide to dig deeper into Zemo’s involvement in the UN headquarters’ bombing which sends them on a backpacking trip across select European countries. Steve and Bucky believe this is a story about their mission. Scott Lang and Sam Wilson, who join them halfway through, believe it’s a story about their Eurotrip (and they’re probably right). This writer, however, has been waiting to tell you that the fic’s true mission is Steve and Bucky missioning towards missionary.

Follow them on their journey across Europe in tiny cars, packed subway trains and even on skis as they tumble down the Swiss Alps (in a fun way this time!), all the while reigniting untold feelings of the past through inappropriate sexual encounters and terrible communication skills.

“I’m taking you down to Ivan’s Gym on Saturday,” Bucky says. He lifts his hand to shut Steve up as soon as he notices Steve is about to interrupt. “I’m not taking no for an answer here, Steve. You might be the stubborn one out of the pair of us, but I ain’t backing down on this. If you’re gonna fight, you’re at least gonna learn how to punch properly.”

“I can punch,” Steve counters.

Bucky levels him with a flat stare. He doesn’t need words to say; if you knew how to punch you wouldn’t be looking like that.

A 1940s fic wherein Bucky decides it's high time for Steve to learn how to throw a proper punch so he takes him to a boxing gym. Feelings ensue!

Soooo that Boxing Gym fic I talked about ages ago? Yeah. I'm sick of this WIP in my folder so I'm hoping posting the first chapter will finally make me finish it. The fic is basically 70% done so you shouldn't wait too long for an update. In fact, I'll update with another chapter on Sunday and hopefully write the ending (3rd chapter) during the weekend too.

Title: Right Hook

Summary: When Steve comes home with busted knuckles and an even more busted face again, Bucky decides it’s time to teach him how to throw a proper punch. Ivan’s Gym is the perfect place to break a sweat without also breaking your whole face.

Or another 1940s fic I couldn’t stop myself from writing.

Excerpt:

“So what, I’m just gonna be fake punching it and you’ll stand here criticizing my form?”

“Exactly. And Mrs. Cornwall said you weren’t smart...”

“Mrs. Cornwall thinks the Earth is flat.”

“Revolutionary, don’t you think?”

“Actually,” Steve quips, a smart look on his face, “it would be the opposite of that. You know, since the whole point of it is that it doesn’t revolve.”

So chapter 3 is finally up. I’m considering this as the last chapter of the fic, but I changed the number of chapters to 4 instead of 3 because I’ll be posting a (banterous and smutty) epilogue tomorrow (Sunday!) and I wanted it as a separate chapter.

His lips were so dry, his mouth too, and his throat, but the rest of his body felt like hot languid liquid was flowing through it. Steve swallowed, licked his lips. Maybe Steve’s mouth was dry too?

One hot summer, when Bucky and Steve are fifteen, the line between their friendship and something new that Bucky can’t quite name blurs. It is only years later that the line disappears completely and Bucky can finally put a name to that something.
