PARE DE FUGIR! 22-04 2025
Another primal/bronze age piece for the wonderful heeledwolf! This time a Dwarven warrior is visiting a priestess and Firbolg headwoman for negotiations on behalf of her father, but before those can start she had to rescue a wayward synthetoceras from her flock. This one was a lot of fun to work on, I always appreciate getting a chance to practise more landscapes <3

Synthetoceras tricornatus was a protoceratid from the Late Miocene of North America. Protoceratids are an entirely extinct group of even-toed ungulates with uncertain relationships to the other branches of the artiodactyl family tree. As is evident with Synthetoceras and its brow horns and Y-shaped snout horn, the group is best known for the bizarre array of head ornamentations of its later members.
