Album review
Paradise Animals - Day Bed
If, like me, you can’t get enough of catchy synthpop tracks with haunting vocals, you should definitely add Paradise Animals’ debut album to your collection. And if that sounds too boring for you, give it a listen anyway, there are also some more experimental tracks on the record (What e.g.)
Paradise Animals is the ongoing musical project of songwriter and producer Mark Andrade, with the help of longtime friends and multi-instrumentalists Gary Pereira and Kerri Silva. And here’s what they say about their debut:
„We'd describe the album as a lifetime of memories and experiences captured during a daydream. Day Bed is the place we go to rest in the daylight. A place where memories wash over us; a place where we pause and think about life. It's a collection of songs that highlights the warmth and happiness of family and childhood, the heartbreak of relationships, and the randomness of social life in the 21st century.“
My favorite songs are Monday Morning, Tripping On The Rails and In The Deserts Of The Heart Pt. 2
