Venus The Bride

@oroku-venus-demilo :
Shredder and Splinter had agreed on a peace treaty, it would only last a week for the sake of several business deals on each side of the treaty, and to ensure that the terms were enforced they agreed on a week long marriage between Donatello of the Hamatos and Venus DeMilo of the Oroku clan, it was an awkward and messy scenario especially since Venus’s supposed life mission was to kill the Hamato’s and she had engaged in many spats which left her former tank mates injured, sometimes seriously… Splinter however hoped he could gain back a daughter and give her a chance at a much more normal life than she currently had… The treaty would last as long as the marriage… And that depended upon the two turtles involved… The large female was not excited…. She was keeping a business outlook on the arrangement and had been warned multiple times of the Hamatos trickery… She was skeptical and nervous, she’d be living with her greatest enemies for a week, and for someone who was so advid on Honor, she was not looking forward to being submissive to the lanky, and what she deemed fragile Donatello….
Don entered the ornate room in Saki’s lair, walking softly on the tatami mats in his embroidered kimono. He felt ridiculous with such bulky clothing on; turtles didn’t need clothing. But it was for an important purpose: peace. With careful steps and his head held high, he approached the top of the room, where the two of them would be married. This had been what they agreed upon: that the marriage would be held in the Oroku’s domain and that Venus would go to live with the Hamatos. After all, Splinter wanted her to commune with her brothers, to see what she had lost due to the cruel twist of fate that robbed her of that upbringing. Letting the marriage ceremony take place in “enemy territory” was an acceptable compromise.
For the hundredth time, Donatello asked himself why HIM. For sure, he had assumed Leonardo, the one intended to lead their clan in the future, would be the best choice to marry their circumstantial “sister” — or Raphael, the one whose anger might be calmed by a wife, even if the wife were as angry as he. At least Venus might respect Raph or Leo. To choose him... what was Splinter thinking?
But then he quieted his mind and turned toward the entrance. Soon, he would see his “bride”, and he wanted to perform everything exactly right so as not to bring dishonour upon his family.
