My Stance on TCest
TBH most people take the argument stance that they were pet shop turtles and we donāt actually know if they are the same age or from the same mating turtle pair or simply randomly taken from a local lake, thatās sort of where I stand on the issue since the chances of four turtles from the same clutch being not only kept together but also surviving the pet store system is pretty low. Thatās why Iām all of my AUās in which the pet shop background is involved they are different ages and not from the same clutch, for all we know they could be different species of turtles and from a genetic standpoint them being from different clutches would explain their radically different eye colors, builds, heights and skin colors. Coming from a family of seven all children tend to look similar and due to greens and blues being recessive eye colors it makes Donnies brown eyes come into question since brown is a dominant eye color and the chance that three of the four children didnāt inherit it but inherited two blue variants and a green variation is very very very very unlikely. The only place where the lines are blurred is in terms of mutation, where some imply they received DNA from splinter and even these ties are sketchy due to the fact pet shops arenāt the most courteous to their reptiles, meaning the human DNA they received could have been from an employee or a curious child. So for me it really comes down to if the ship has chemistry and if youāve done your research on the subject.

Hearing the question, Don crawled a little backwards from underneath the hunk of junk he had been hoping would hide a few interesting components. No such luck, anyway.

A couple of years, at least.ā Once he was standing by the other Donnieās side, he asked,Ā āYou want to try firing these systems back up? It might be worth it if you know how to operate them.ā

āRough training, huh?ā Donās look was dubious, but that was all he said as he walked over to better examine the damage. His brow furrowed as he tilted his head first one way and then the other. Then he sighed.

It took a while before Donatello was awoken by the movements. What was that? Probably one of his brothers being an asshole. He raised a hand to shove whoever it was away...Ā
Before he heard the words. They were so plaintive, wounded-
VENUS.
Rousing himself enough to roll over in their bed that he had carried her to once she dozed off, he watched her for a moment while his sleepy brain figured out that she was having a nightmare. Then he slowly, gently, lowered a hand to rest on her shoulder.
They say blowing into your Classic NES cartridges and system didnāt really fix anything. Donnie (the tech genius) disagrees and Iām with him.

ā Heck, it was an evening like that again. His old man had come home, drunk like always and had showed his rage on Casey. Shit, this was hurting.
Casey had decided to find some shelter at the Lair, maybe even get something against those bruises.
He stumbled inside Donnieās lab, kinda hiding his body from the others like this. Heck, what would they even do when they saw him like this? THat wouldnāt be a pretty sight, especially if Raph would do something.

This time, Don wasnāt knee-deep in fixing some gadget or another as he usually was. A baseball game was playing on the radio, coming through the speakers of his computer, and he was flipping bored through a magazine, sipping a cola. When he heard Casey, he first didnāt even look up.
āYeah? Hey, bud.ā Then he did... and his eyes widened.
āCASE!ā Setting down the magazine, he immediately got up to approach him. āWhat happened?!ā

He followed his doubles lead. Taking a look around, it doesnĀ“t look much different from the New York City he knows, as far as he could tell. Other then that he simply followed his doubles lead, in the end, it was his dimension so he knows they simplest way.
ā Well, this hideout looks different to they ones I have seenā¦but this isnĀ“t really a surprise, ā he explained, Utroms and Kraang may be..one and the same - in a way. But the Kraang think different and have different goals as the Utrom doā¦when the Kraang think of there one at all.
ā But the technology reminds me on the tech I know from themā

Then he moved off, beginning to sift through what hadnāt already been picked clean. He worried that Utrom technology might be in the hands of ordinary citizens, but that was their fault, not that of the turtles.

His arms remained around Venus, holding her close as she began to drift off. A lot had happened to her in a short time; he couldnāt even feign irritation. He didnāt want to, anyway.Ā
āShhh,ā he soothed, just in case she needed more soothing. āIām here. Iām not going anywhere.ā

She gave a small happy chirping and practically gushed about the affection her head lowering and giddily shaking as her shoulders raised and her eyes closed beaming and blushing. She nuzzled her head under his chin and purred loudly smiling.
āThank youā¦ Iā¦ I never want to leaveā¦ Ever ever ever!ā
"Then donāt,ā he told her without any hesitation, cradling her close and caressing over her head where it nestled under his chin. They were both smiling and happy, and he didnāt want to think about the possible futures. The only future he was interested in was one in which the both of them were with each other forever.

She jolted slightly at the forehead bump before giving a soft giggle.
At his words her face flushed and she slowly beamed āR-Really? Y-You do?ā She almost looked on the verge of tearsā¦ Sheād never really had affectionate words returned to her so every time it happened she was baffled and because a stuttering, grinning, blushing mess.
She gave a sigh of relief and smiled
Her laughter and grinning were contagious. Donnie giggled quietly himself, embracing her and stroking over her neck and head, his other arm wrapped around her shell. He was more than happy to share the affection with her. Even beyond that, he wanted to give her more.
āYes,ā he finally chuckled.Ā āI really do. Iām glad youāre here with me.ā
