[OR WE'RE GONNA MISS YOU. DROP THE VEAL, AND THEN THE MIX. AND MAYBE – MAYBE – LOVE WILL ARRIVE, AND REMAIN. GOING SPANISH ON ME? SPANISH, ITALIAN, JEWISH-- DON'T MATTER, IT'S GOOD STUFF. HIT IT. LET'S DO IT.]

Friendly reminder not to repost people’s art! Ask them first, and if they say no (or don’t respond), then don’t!
I’ve had several instances where someone has reposted something and gotten infinitely more notes than the original post and it’s very frustrating as an artist to see that. We work very hard on our art and usually the only reward is seeing people interact with it and we don’t even get that if it’s reposted.
Not to mention that the one piece of mine that keeps getting reposted is one that I’m selling as merch and no one who sees the reposts knows that. Even if I wasn’t donating all of the proceeds, do you really want to see an artist lose the potential of making money that could help take care of them because you had to repost instead of reblog/retweet/share?
people on this website whine about the weirdest things
"what I never understood is why anyone cares what choices I have made or thinks they get a say in my making them"
I have been both a stay at home mom and a working mom, and it is a deeply personal decision that each of make. Why women are so polarized on this issue is beyond me. Motherhood is not a contest, it is a calling, and not all women hear that call, and that is okay too. Some of us work because we need both, others stay home because that is what we value . Your values are not mine and mine are not yours, I respect the choice every mother makes, whether from neccessity of circumstance or because of how she sees herself in the world.
