This town was compelling to stay in for multiple reasons. But the assistance he was getting from Karen these days. Well it was hard not to enjoy her company. Today however was Valentine's day and everyone in town was buzzing. Ace had figured out that, Karen and Tom were once an item, but the woman was married and Ace wasn't considering being a homewrecker. It was just a small crush, he told himself. It could be fine, and they could be friends.

He was at the Office in Hawkins Post, Tom's old office, when he saw her enter.

He pulls out a Valentines day gift basket that had her favorite wine and a stuffed lion and plenty of sweets inside. He'd of offered to take her out but, again. As much as he likes Karen. He wasn't Tom who was just going to press and take what he wanted. He was a respectable man who could have a harmless crush on the woman who has been helping him the most in town.

"Happy Valentine's day!"

Ace beams to Karen as he holds the basket of lovely treats to her. The stuffed lion of course was to represent Gandalf, who was not in Hawkins, but back at home with mama Bullock in Haven.
