Millie: I need my big sister.
Asher hadn't realized how difficult the winter months were going to be at the shelter. He was under a lot of stress, struggling to make sure everyone got what they needed and nobody was left out in the cold, but there would never be enough resources to protect everyone. On some level he knew that, but he was still struggling with it. The shelter just couldn't accommodate every person who needed the help. He was so, so tired, and had recently tried coming up with more ideas to make the shelter more money, but none of the ideas were any good. So as soon as he'd gotten home from work that day, he'd smoked a joint to force himself to relax.
Unfortunately, now he was a little bit zonked. He didn't even realize how long he'd been standing in the kitchen, staring into the refrigerator without really seeing anything, until he heard the front door opening and the sounds of his sister getting home. Shaken from his thoughts, he closed the fridge and turned to watch her walk in, offering what he hoped was a sober-seeming smile. "Hey! How was work?" He asked, still just standing awkwardly by the refrigerator, empty-handed. @thejospring

Alex: talking is overrated. i'd rather just watch more family feud with you
Alex: there's also sex
