Due to a number of increasingly uncomfortable circumstances, Leon found himself relocating to London at the start of the 1960s, hopeful (perhaps foolishly so) that his new living situation would be temporary. Though he'd been living alongside Charles for the better part of a year, the massive mansion still didn't quite feel like 'home' to him. The sense of family he'd come to associate with Arthur's old estate just didn't exist when he and Charles barely spoke to each other outside of meals and business related chit-chat. Leon honestly wasn't avoiding him on purpose, but it was awkward talking to someone about movies when they looked like they were constantly plotting the destruction of mankind.
Then again, he supposed everyone needed a hobby.
Personal reservations aside, he wasn't afraid to call on the English capital when he needed something. And that evening, Leon decided that he needed something.
While it seemed to be in a direct conflict with his morals, Leon was actually quite curious about the alluring qualities of alcohol; specifically, why so many were willing to throw away so much of their lives for it. Was it really that good? He'd never tried any himself, having been a toddler for most of his existence, but he was just over 700 years old now - might as well find out what all the fuss is about.
Unfortunately, he wasn't able to buy any on his own. Despite having surpassed the legal drinking age by several centuries, physically, he barely passed for fifteen. Luckily, Charles seemed to have an assortment of different spirits on hand - surely he wouldn't mind parting with some of it?
Steeling his nerve, Leon quietly peeked into the other's study, pale fingers curled loosely around the door's ornate frame.
"Charles," he said in the sweetest voice he could manage. "I was wondering if you could do me a small favour? Super small. Microscopic. Like, it'll be such a nothing favour you'll forget all about it in maybe 2 seconds and go right back to doing..." he gestured vaguely around the room, "this stuff."
