Regina looked around the unfamiliar room when she heard the words from the other woman. She had to be trapped in a curse, but she remembered her entire life. Why would she be left awake and married to someone she’d never seen before in her life? She rolled over in what seemed to be her and her wife’s bed and wrapped an arm around the other women’s waist. “I know we are.” She smiled and kissed gently on the other’s shoulder. She decided it was best to play along for now and see what she could find out. The other woman was attractive so it would be easy enough to fake things.
She hadn’t realized that she spoke out loud until her wife responded to her. For some reason the word made her stomach flutter this morning. Regina was her wife. She knew that. Why was there a mix of shock and uncertainty when she thought about it? She decides it must have been an odd dream she had and curled into her wife one the other woman’s arms went around her waist. “How was your sleep, hun?” her voice soft as she questions her.
