Funny Face- Don’t be a Prick
Boise State University, Graphic Design I, Fall’15
This font is made up entirely of steel T-pins, structured together by Brandon Feely, Damir Bazdar, Clara Gray and myself, otherwise known as Team Awesome. Each letter is photographed at a slight angle to the left so that the length of the pins can be seen poking out from the black canvas behind it. The soft studio lighting allows the pins to cast a shadow onto the canvas, creating a strong presence, which was our desired effect. The purpose of this font is to look sharp and somewhat edgy. First, we brainstormed the idea, second we shot our photos on a grey corkboard canvas, and thirdly after some class critiques we placed the pins on darker canvas and with better lighting.
