“ cindy? ” CADY tried to catch her friend’s attention. she leaned closer, waving her hand, as she tried to get a better look at whatever her friend was working on. “ is that part of your research? i haven’t gotten an update in so long. what are you doing? ”

perhaps she was just nosy, but she couldn’t help it. despite dedicating so much of her studies to math, biology research was in her blood. her brain may not remember that she was the daughter of two zoologists, but her heart did. 

“ you know i just love your research. i’d join your team if only i didn’t love math more... and i had the time... ”

CADY had been mistaken for some heather chick in around campus a handful of times. she never thought much of it, simply mistaken identity. she never met the girl, however. it should be a bit of a surprise, since they were around the same age and attended the same school after all.

cady assumed they were merely similar, but staring at her exact doppelganger from across the quad: the resemblance was uncanny. or, at the very least, she could only assume it was the girl she heard so much about and not another clone.

“ excuse me, but uh... we look exactly alike, ” she pointed out the obvious when she believed she was within earshot. “ this is weird. like super weird, right? ”
