yeah absolutely. i've seen people call for ooc communication and then not even do it. it gets to the point where i actually feel weird and uncomfortable trying to oocly talk things out because so many people don't seem to like practicing it. we have a weird environment where ooc discussion is, in a way, encouraged, but nobody does it or they don't do it until the thing that should've been discussed

i feel this a lot and i think that’s why im so apt that like 4 posts into some kind of strife i 1) drop the thing ooc if im having a Bad Brain Day (tm) or 2) go out of my way to ooc come to that person and b like “hey how are you doing is this okay, lmk when its too much” 

i think that even if its a short and sweet confirmation of “yeah this is great i love this tension” is so good and helps with, honestly, fostering and solidifying the ic=/=ooc mentality.  

and if that sparks something of a conversation of having that go forward as a kind of developmental thing ic then hot diggity cool.

it’s been pretty slow, actually. mostly just been working. i installed a stereo into someone’s truck the other day and he kept talking to me about if he could play betamax tapes on a satellite radio and i’m convinced he was displaced in time.
